Had a fantastic time. Miss my friends already. My muscles are pleased it's all over, however.

Mom and I were driving to pick up a prescription for me when we started in on the topic of Quentin Tarantino and why his films are just so darn clever. Both of us really like listening to the patter of Pulp Fiction's dialouge. Mom's opposed to the violence, but I pointed out that it's supposed to make you a little uneasy. In any case, we eventually came around to the character of Jules. Mom forgot exactly what happened with him, so I explained: he became a shepherd and walked the Earth.

And then the Fandom Thought struck me. What if Jules from Pulp Fiction was the inspiration for Book on "Firefly"?

There was a contest on a podcast that gave away free tickets to see an early Phoenix screening of Serenity on September 28th. You had to answer five questions about the show. I won (which isn't that impressive when you take into consideration that they were giving away 75 of the suckers). I'm taking my sister, who is the only member of my Phoenix-based family who has not yet seen the film.

So yay. I finally get to see the *finished* film! Still going to be at the theater on the 30th, supporting the Joss with my money, though.
