I agree with many of the above that "Home" isn't so much scary per se as, as _jealousy_ says, "wrong." Plus, I had just watched it myself for the first time literally days before your poll, so it was stuck in my head. Before watching it, I knew zilch about its notoriety as "The X-Files episode they don't show in re-runs!" I was a sporadic XF watcher when the show was on and am currently going through the entire series on DVD via Netflix very, very slowly.
I can see why it's not scary exactly, especially for someone whose bread and butter is far, far scarier cinematic fare! But since I was totally unprepared for the plot, I guess it was just kind of mildly shocking and gruesome. The incest wasn't even totally the problem. I have kind of a "genetic mutation" squick, I guess.
