Movies I've seen before are in italics.

She Done Him Wrong (1933)
MST3K: Prince of Space
MST3K: Parts the Clonus Horror
MST3K: The Mole People
Life of Brian (1979)
Rifftrax: Fun in Balloonland
Gojira (1954) (with David Kalat commentary)
Tenet (2020)

She Done Him Wrong is part of a collection of Cary Grant comedies on Criterion Channel (subscribe today!), but it's really Mae West's show. Everything thing she says is innuendo of one variety or another.

Tenet is kind of a brain scramble. I liked it! I'm pretty sure some of it doesn't hold up upon further reflection, but I'm trying to avoid that.

I know I still have to ask people questions. I'm workin' on it.

Five Random Facts About Me:

1. My left foot is a size 13. My right foot is about a size 12. When I was younger, I used to compensate by buying the half-size in between. Now that my feet are huge, I just have to live with one foot being crushed or swimming.

2. I used to be able to do the entire of the Political Peasants skit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail from memory, using funny voices that roughly approximated Graham Chapman, Michael Palin, and Terry Jones. I can still do it, but I stumble a lot more. No, I don't do it on command.

3. I have written just around 225 full-length (non-capsule) reviews since October 2000 -- 145 for Classic-Horror (2000-2007), 27 for the now-defunct The Reel Critics (2002), 18 for CinemaBlend.com (2002-2003), 3 for the now-defunct ZombieKeeper.com (2001-2003), and roughly 30 for The Daily Iowan (2002-2003). Plus there's a few straggler reviews that I did as favors for other defunct sites and a handful of unexceptional non-capsule reviews from Classic-Horror that were taken down when we went to a "one film, one review" format.

Apparently 2002 and 2003 were very busy years for me. If you're looking for these reviews, most of my material from The Reel Critics was transferred over to CinemaBlend.com and can be found here. DailyIowan.com only has about half of my old material up -- their archives only go back as far as Fall 2002, unfortunately. I'm not hard to find on Classic-Horror.com.

It should be said that of the 225, I'm proud of about 100. Maybe 120. The newer the reviews, the better, usually.

4. I have brilliant new red Converse trainers. Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] midnightfae.

5. A few years back, I had to lug some very heavy water jugs about half a mile, two at a time, in three trips. My pain coping mechanism was to name all the regulars on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" in the order in which they were added to the credits.
