A Couple of Answers Before the Silence
Mar. 16th, 2004 09:41 pm1) Who the hell are you and why have you friended me?
An excellent question. You know
_callmelanky_? I am he. He is I. We is them. Etc. Etc.
2) I don't know no stinkin' _callmelanky_.
That's not a question.
3) So?
So, I'm not going to answer a statement. At least not directly. What do you think I am? Who. Who do you think I am?
4) I think you're a loon.
Goddammit. Not a question.
5) Sorry.
And don't talk to the audience.
6) Why the new journal?
Needed a change. Needed a new net presence. Was getting sick of old journal in the sense that the name and the general feel of it was really inconsequential.
7) Why not buy a rename token?
Because big, symbolic gestures are kind of important to me. They are much of how I interpret the world. It's the writer in me. So, by closing off one journal and starting an entirely new one, it's like opening up a new chapter.
8) That's not terribly pragmatic.
Ahem...
9) Sorry. That's not terribly pragmatic?
No, no it isn't. What's your point?
10) So... are you going to be friends-only again?
I'm going to try not to, anyway.
11) So what's so new and special about this journal anyway?
Well, for one thing - less posts about my actual life. Frankly, I have a paper journal for that, and I'm feeling a bit more private. So I'm keeping this journal for replies and occasional commentary.
12) What the hell does "uncountedchimes" MEAN?
I'm not saying.
13) Oh, please.
No, no. You'll just have to do without.
14) bastard
I heard that.
An excellent question. You know
