I can't sleep. Which, you know, I can deal with a day of work after one night of sleeplessness... but this is the fourth night in a row of subpar sleep. To which my usual solution is calling in sick to catch up... which I can't do, because I took a day and a half off last week due to illness.

Gr. Argh.

ETA: I totally get today's Questionable Content. I've written versions of Faye's Dora's third panel dialogue in my journal more than once. I wish I could get a dog so I could project my insecurities better...

Dude, that's Dora. =)

Sucks that you're not sleeping better.

gah

right. I did manage an hour and a half. Yay?

An hour and a half? Ugh. Personally, I hate the idea, but have you thought of taking a sleeping pill of some sort, just to knock yourself out? By this point, I might be getting desperate.

Do you have a long bed? If you're 6'6" or taller (which I think you are), I'd imagine a regular bed would suck. I'm only 6' even, and my toes hang off the end of the bed if I stretch out.

Eh. This was lack of sleep due to personal angst over things I cannot control and shouldn't worry about too much. You could knock me over the head with a mallet and I'd still only get an hour and a half.

I have a good-sized bed, luckily, but I still have to space-manage efficiently to fit. The foot-dangling phenomenom is familiar and expected for me.

Have you noticed we always worry the most over the things we control the least? I hate that. Very annoying.

I'm a really light sleeper, but I can fall asleep pretty quickly almost every night. I just wake up a lot during the night. Although I'm getting better at it. And I doubt you were really that interested.

Any plans for Tuesday yet?

Lunch with Mom after an appointment with the psych where we determine whether or not Nate's antidepression meds have accidentally made him bipolar.

Possibly hanging out with an old friend, but most likely me, pizza, Mike's Hard Lime, and some really great movies/Farscape eps.

Are your antidepressant meds a recent change? When I first changed mine, back when I was still on them, I had a hard time sleeping for a while. Took me a bit to get used to it. You don't have to go into detail here, yes or no is fine. Or even, "Eh, don't feel like talking about it."

I have every episode of Jake 2.0 that ever aired on my computer if you're interested.

I don't know if I could take another incomplete series. I wouldn't even be on Farscape right now if it weren't for PKWars

And I've had the same meds since July and I haven't had a med-related sleep disruption (as far as I can tell) since September.

Well, Jake started strong and then kind of sputtered, so it's not as bad, really. =) I also have the first three seasons of the animated series of The Tick, but they're pretty crappy resolution.

Nah. I think I'll be able to find something cool in my 200+ vid collection. Thanks, though.
