...and the way to spread the "good news of our Lord" is certainly by flogging a symbol which attempts to bring happiness to people... yes indeed. Am certain the Lord just loves that... *shudders*
That's horrid. I realize it's a performance flogging, but that's not teaching kids a good lesson, imho. That's teaching kids the lesson of "if you don't agree with something, beat it and claim it's 'In the name of God.'" *sighs*
