A term I picked up from pottersues back in my "let's find the badfic and mock" days. I have a couple different reasons for disliking fanfiction.net, but it is where the readers are, and since I'm working on my quote-unquote "big fic," I thought it'd pay to build a foothold there.
And besides, it's not like I'm "too good" for ff.net or anything. Some really brilliant writers archive there.
Well, there's also the ridiculously ineffectual search engine. And the massive fear of corrupting young innocents who are probably going to be corrupted anyway, so why not through fanfiction?
I prefer the eFiction engine myself, but I'm not sure it could handle an archive of that size and that many different fandoms.
