Title: Let's Go to the Mall
Source: Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Song: Robin Sparkles - Let's Go to the Mall
Warnings: Gore. Muzzle flash. Man's inhumanity to man. Man's inhumanity to zombie.
Summary: OMG! Let's, like, totally engage in a criticism of conspicuous consumption! With zombies! Totally!

The story behind this one is short and simple, but because I'm me, I'll draw it out a bit. A couple of years ago, my friend
qkellie tweeted at me "Why has no one ever set scenes from Dawn of the Dead to Robin Sparkles' Let's Go to the Mall?"
I had just ripped the movie for another project, so I thought, "Why not?"
I had some technical problems making the vid, unfortunately, and some narrative problems and some problem problems. It wasn't coming together smoothly. So I put it aside, coming back to poke at it here and there when I felt like it.
Then #vidding chat happened. Well, more appropriately,
kiki_miserychic happened. I mentioned I had this vid half-done and she *may* have threatened my continued well-being if I didn't finish it.
I've met
kiki_miserychic . I have no doubt she could pull my heart from my chest Temple of Doom style. So I planned to finish it for Club Vivid. Which I did. And you can watch it now.
Thanks to
thirdblindmouse who did some beta work on it.
