VID: The Jolly Green Avenger (Toxic)
Sep. 23rd, 2012 01:36 pmETA (2012-09-25): This post now contains the correct source, song, and warnings and no longer implies that this is an Avengers/Hulk vid (although you should watch the vid to the end if you want Avengers/Hulk content)
Title: The Jolly Green Avenger (Toxic)
Song: Richard Stone - Freakazoid Theme
Source: The Toxic Avenger 1-3
Warnings: Over-the-top cartoony violence (including dismemberment), face melting, bathroom humor
Summary: The tale of the greatest giant green rage monster ever!

(2012-09-25): These notes reflect the original version of my post, which obfuscated the source for my own amusement.
Watched the vid yet? Watch it before reading these. I'll wait...

Watched it now? Good! Also, sorry. I couldn't resist just a little joke. Yes, the source is not The Hulk, but Troma's very own Toxic Avenger. I used the first three films in the series to make a jokey little vid to test out the capabilities of Final Cut Pro X. I'll have a more complete post on that experience soon, but to summarize, it was mixed. There are things that Final Cut Pro X does quite well and other things it doesn't do very well at all.
If you're wondering why I did not use the fourth film, Citizen Toxie, it wasn't out of any lack of love for that film. It's probably my favorite after the original. It was also made about ten years after Toxic Avenger III and the production values and Toxie makeup are... well, better is not a word I'd use for Troma. They are more in keeping with the time the film was made and they didn't match as well.
Anyway, please forgive me my little misdirection. In a few days I will update this post to contain more accurate information on the vid.
