Do You Ever Do This?

Do you ever get a vidbunny, open up your editing program, get the source imported, get the song on the timeline, etc. Then you lay down a clip or two and it works... but then you stare at the timeline for an hour and realize that you don't actually have any effing clue what you're going with this, this was the worst idea ever.

I have like, 20 Final Cut projects with the music laid down and a single video clip and NOTHING ELSE.

About half of them are "Hi, I'll do this when I am an awesome vidder. Which is clearly not now."

The other half are "What was I even... I could probably... no, this is... gAAAAAh!" (capitalization important).

I have quite a few that I also filed under "when i have the vidding skills to do it well." I also have ones that seem so epic that I need to get a running start or something. I keep putting them off because I know they'll take a lot of work.

YUP. I have about 10 vid WIPs because of this. I get all the clipping out of the way, and then suddenly I get a new vidbunny that's ten times better and abandon the old idea for the new one. It's kind of awful.

It is a pretty nice thing to have when it's not broken (and by broken I mean sometimes I get really excited about an idea I *think* is good and then 24 hours later, I realize it's utter crap)!
