Elisabeth Sladen, who played Sarah Jane Smith on Doctor Who and the Sarah Jane Adventures, is dead at 63.

Apparently she'd been struggling with cancer for years. I had no idea. 

I guess I need to start working on that Sarah Jane vid again.

I have more to say but no way to say it. She was a lovely actress whose work I enjoyed; Sarah Jane Smith was a marvelous character who I loved. I am kind of devastated, which makes being at work awkward.

Jake just broke the news to me. We're at a loss of words. I genuinely don't know what to say, just that I feel numb right now. Sarah Jane was one of my favorite companions... so sad! :*(
