Did you catch that bit where Rory said, "We have to grow up eventually." and Amy replied "Says who?" In light of the weird jacket-change thingy in the second Weeping Angels episode, and the Doctor saying "It's you, it's all you" and asking her to remember what he told her when she was 7, it struck me as... weird.
I didn't think it had to be the Valeyard, really. I thought it was more like how the Doctor sees himself, his internalized self hatred made manifest. But it could be the Valeyard, instead (or also).
