Okay, admittedly, I didn't get to see all of this. I was a little distracted, but I saw enough. Jonathan Taylor-Thomas, just a week after that other Home Improvement kid? Geez. Also, Joey Lauren Adams is a lot more annoying than I recall her being in such films as Mallrats and Chasing Amy.

Okay, first of all, I don't understand Veronica/Logan. I thought it was a freaky underground fic movement with no canonical basis. So, you'll excuse me if this episode had me WTF-ing like woah, because not only did they GO there, but they did it in a way that made way too much sense. Dammit. This is all airawyn's fault, I just know it.

Keith and Alicia (I think that's her name) are the cutest ever. I didn't see it coming, but it does make sense. I like how it shakes up Wallace and Veronica's friendship, but also strengthens it in ways. Also, it's nice to see Keith happy. Keith's my favorite character, so I like seeing him happy. Honestly, he's a hard character to make miserable, though, since he always manages to make things work out.

ETA: Didn't figure out until later that Veronica essentially gave Duncan the Cliff's Notes on how to stage his own disappearance. Should be interesting to see how that plays out. I don't believe he killed Lily, if only because the show seems to be saying he did. But it's good to see him freak out.


When I first saw promos for Alias, I thought the scruffy, nefarious-looking guy was Joel Grey. Actually, more accurately, I thought whoever played Doc was playing this Sloane guy. I was wrong, but it just makes a lot of sense that Sloane's imposter/brother/semi-clone is played by Grey. They have a similar facial structure and all of that.

Good to see Katya back, although she's still about as trustworthy as a snake. Clever getting Nadia to bring her chocolate, although the endgame on that one is still unclear. Is it a ploy for escape or simply to see Sydney?

Dark!Vaughn was played beautifully here. Here's a man who would go to the ends of the earth, hanging on to the single thread of family he has since he shot his own wife. Sydney's a great girlfriend, but she's never been family. She's never been domestic. Here's a man on the razor's edge, and he quite nearly topples over. Sloane's 48 hours are a nice loophole for him to get back in the game without too many repercussions (something Alias does so well with rogue agent storylines). I think Sloane has other things to worry aobut, though.

I rather liked Izabella Scorpuco's character and it was a shame to see her gunned down. She's like a darker version of Sydney (something Lauren never really pulled off) and I would've liked to see more of her.

I loved loved loved that there was some (minor) Rambaldi in this ep. Rambaldi says arc. Arc says old-school Alias, even if there aren't any real cliffhangers like in the olden days.

My personal theory is that Jake did it and framed Duncan so that Celeste would go along with the cover-up. But that is just idle speculation with no spoiler-knowledge at all.

How long do you think it will take for the writers to put some sort of meta in-joke about Home Improvement into the script? =)

I doubt Jake Kane did it. Maybe Celeste did it and framed Duncan to get Jake to participate in the cover-up. She seems to be the manipulative one, and the show's barely touched on the possibility that she did it.

I give it another two episodes.

I think Jake did it simply because it's Kyle Secor playing him. I mean... ideal casting for the part, don't you think?

Although Mommy Sneerest is also pretty good.

I agree with you that it wasn't Duncan, though.

On a totally random note, I had the weirdest sensation yesterday. I was walking down the street, and I literally felt every inch of my height in every step. Usually, I just subconciously adjust my self-perception so I don't feel gargantuan, but yesterday I was feeling tall like somethin' somethin'.

Don't know why I mention it, but it was weird...

I remember that from being 5'10" when I was eleven. Sometimes it would just hit me, "Dude. I'm like some huge thing." It is kinda weird.

Well, if everyone was a freakish giant than the mean would be redistributed such that no one was freakish nor gigantic. So, I suppose you're correct in both parts: not everybody could, and it's a good thing because the paradox would cripple the minds of the poor and sane.

Well, better 6'7" than 6'9", considering that the standard height for a door opening is 6'8".
