Torchwood: Children of Earth - There's a Slice of Fried Gold

Just watched all five episodes in one go.

See, this is how I like my fiction -- exquisitely painful. And this is how I like my science fiction, dealing with people making difficult choices on an epic scale. I don't know if they'll go on from here (or how they could), but if they keep telling stories like this one, I'm on-board.

I kind of hope they don't go on, though. It's like Torchwood was building to this, a beautiful culmination of character that allowed the plot to really sing and reach that heart-breaking critical mass at the end. Brilliant.

Don't know how they could top this series to be honest. And it's so beautifully balanced at the end that you could continue or leave it that way. Going out with a bang indeed.
