Veronica Mars (and a little GG)
Mar. 30th, 2005 08:12 amI caught the (I assume) rerun of Gilmore Girls last night. Oy, how I miss watching this show. Lauren Graham can call me any day of the week. Adorable adorable adorable.
Now, onto Veronica Mars:
Interesting revelations this week (or pseudo-revelations, because there's always more questions than answers), but I fear that the mystery-of-the-week was, well, weak. For one thing, the whole undercover at another school angle could have been played for so much more. Secondly, the perp, as it were, was somebody we had barely even seen. It reminds me of an Encyclopedia Brown case I once read where we didn't even meet the guilty party until the "read the answer to the mystery" section, which kind of missed the point of guessing whodunnit.
I'm liking Veronica feeling all kinds of confused about Duncan's new girl, and I do so love how they manage to get in a little more about the Lilly Kane murder every week, but let us not forget the importance of the mystery-of-the-week! It's part of the reason I like the show. Mini-mysteries with resolutions so I'm not screaming at my television for a little relief.
Anyway. I think it's cool that Wallace is gettin' in with the popular crowd. Could be useful. I also loved that Veronica was the one making the spirit baskets. That's just too cute.
