Doctor Who 4x11 - Turn Left thoughts...

Well, that was pretty damn awesome. I was all choked up on numerous occasions. Every show needs to have that one episode where they kill everybody. Angel had it in Time Bomb. Buffy had it in The Wish. And now Doctor Who has done it in Turn Left.

Also, Catherine Tate was made of utter win. I want to give Donna a big ol' hug.

One thought, shared with midnightfae -- much as I liked Rose's part in this (can't believe I just said that), Billie Piper's acting was a bit crap, wasn't it? I mean, she sort of monotoned her way through, like she forgot how Rose talked and didn't want to get caught.

Weird.

That ending was just completely awesome, with the Doctor not so much going "OMG ROSE" as he was "OMG BAD WOLF = END OF THE UNIVERSE."

And that preview for next week... oh em effing gee.

The Rose bit is actually true - I read somewhere that the actress admited that she couldn't get Rose's accent down anymore.

And OMG yes! Everyone but the kitchen sink! (The kitchen sink was too busy filming its own show.)

And yeah, all those people dying-- offscreen. And the Donna of the Right Turn had no clue why it mattered; while the audience was shrieking noooooes!

Heh, Alanna's explanation above amuses me. With Rose not *sounding* like Rose, I had one or two moments of wondering if she even *was* her...

Yeah, Rose's voice was all wrong. It reminded me of nothing so much as Spike from Angel S5.

I loved this one. It was great to show how much of impact Donna has.
I do have to make the same agreement that Rose's voice is a bit off and looks a bit off for the next show, but hope it all works out.
