Bite Me, Amazon

About, oh, two months ago, I ordered all the Season 1 Farscape Starburst Editions from Amazon.com (I had ordered the other three seasons direct from ADV Films on sale). They told me it would be a few weeks, but the far end for shipping was put at July 9th and I figured it was a reasonable time to wait.
Today, July 10th, I got an email from Amazon informing me that there will be a slight delay in shipping and that my sets won't be shipping until... wait for it... December 2007.
Fine, whatever, I'll order them used. No joy. They're apparently out of print. Starburst Season 1, Volume 1 is going for $130. What in the name of whatever makes Amazon think they'll have an out-of-print Season in stock in December? Why not just tell me they can't fulfill my order?
Even then, I'd be pissed off, though, because I'd have Seasons 2 through 4 and no Season 1.
Anyway, I canceled the Amazon.com order and bought the sets through Half.com. Mind you, my last Half.com experience left me with no actual movie shipped, but I'm willing to hedge my bets here.
