Hmm... an update.
Jun. 4th, 2004 02:25 pmEr, the title's a riff on a bit of Stuart Davis between-song dialogue. Which makes no sense unless you're me and listen incessantly to bootleg Stuart Davis MP3s.
Meh.
Got my laptop in today, works like a charm. Loving loving loving. It even has Microsoft Works loaded on it, which saves to Word 2.0, so I can port stuff between computers more effectively. It has a modem, too, but that doesn't do me any good, really - and honestly, I bought it specifically to stay off the 'net when I wrote.
Had lunch with Mom today. Got her a bit upset, really, because I was relaying information Dad had given me about her, which I didn't really believe because Dad has a tendency to alter the past to suit his needs. The info called her ability to parent into question, like a lot, and I got some straight answers about it. She regrets to this day not fighting for us, but I understand her decision, and there's no way I was getting out of the childhood without massive scars, anyway, so there's no need to dwell on the past.
In any case, whether Mom alters history or not, her version of things is much more believable because she admits her flaws and mistakes. Dad, if you listened to him, doesn't really have any to admit, but gosh, he would if he did, he's so perfect (*rollseyes*).
Daddy issues? Me?

rightclicklick today. Guh. Very useful addition to the LJ community. I approve.
Er, what else? Toying with a bunch of writing projects, as usual. Doing my first solo weekend as the mod at
btvs_episodic while Jen does some end-of-the-school-year stuff... Going to Jester'z tonight to hang with
ropa and watch some funny.
No job yet, but soon!
