jetpack_monkey: (Stuart Davis - Boy Could He Play Guitar)
[personal profile] jetpack_monkey
Every birthday, I make a mix CD that somehow attempts to capture a span of 365 days. Some of the songs are just stuff I listened to, others are more personal. This year's is no different.

I'm not providing an explanation for my choices this year (if I ever have). Some of them are self-explanatory. Some don't have an explanation to give. Others I really don't feel like explaining. So, yeah. Interpret as you will.

Yeah, I know I broke my own no-repeated-artists rule, but I let it slip, because... Shatner.

Love your icon, by the way.

Have you ever played the game Apples to Apples? It's this game where one person draws a card that has something written on it, and then everyone else throws down a card they think Original Person will like the most. For example, I draw "rock," and then everyone else will throw down whatever card they have in their hand they think I will like the most. It really doesn't have to relate to "rock," per se -- you could put down "Peanut butter and jelly sandwich," and if I really liked them, I could choose that over, say, "scissors."

Anyway, there are a few cards that tend to become trump cards. Such as "Christopher Walken," which always wins. For me, "William Shatner," also always wins.

Interestingly, for me, anything ice related always wins.

What can I say? I like ice.

I so need to go buy that game before the next gathering of people...

Ice, huh?

All right -- stop. Collaborate and listen. Ice is back with a brand new invention.

(you hate me now, don't you?)

E tu, Brute?

Was it Ice, Ice, Baby that was the song translated into Shakespearean language? I think I saw that once, and it was hilarious.

Actually... I can sing the whole song by heart.
