Merrily We Go To Heck

Tuesday night, had lunch with some friends from writer's group. Love those guys. Great quiche, great laughs, fantastic snark. You can really tell the people who love you because they're the only ones who can get away with saying such awful, true things.

Spent last night watching Discs 8 and 9 of Farscape Season 4. This really is a lackluster season. I just cannot bring myself to care as much as I did in Seasons 2 and 3. All these things are coming to a head, but it's like Kemper & co. are bored with the story they've set-up, like they've done all the fun bits and now they're content to just throw random weirdness around to keep themselves amused.

Still dying to see the rest, of course, because I want to see how everything connects to The Peacekeeper Wars, which I caught when it aired.

Tonight, midnightfae is back in town and I'll be continuing her classic film education because it delights me.

Kind of contemplating what to do with myself now that I don't have anything to do. I have one wicked thought but it's going to take some time to bring to fruition...

You've got me scared of season 4. I'm almost done with season 3, which I'm already noticing has those bits of weirdness to which you refer. Hmm...

I think the biggest problem with season 4 is that they were plotting it out for two seasons. They thought they had a whole other season to play with dand they plotted things out accordingly and spent too much time setting things up and then Skiffy was all "oh, did we say you got 2 seasons? Hahaha. Pwned!" I like to think it would have all come together beautifully in the mythical season 5 and made all the weirdness totally worth it, and that if they hadn't thought they were getting another season that it would have played out differently. But I still love it all because Kemper is my evil overlord.

I really think the last 4 episodes are great though. Well, aside from the flailing that "Bad Timing" caused. Sooo much flailing.
