sweetestdrain: Merlin, Arthur, and Gwen at campsite looking somber and/or hopeful. (in the charred darkness a little green)
The Adventures of Tintin -- the 1990s animated show that provided some of the most faithful adaptations of Hergé's work. Belgian boy reporter goes on crazy adventures (to Scotland, South America, Tibet, even the MOON) with his faithful dog Snowy and his BFF Captain Haddock.

Stoker -- It's like Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt if the girl, instead of trying to turn her murderous uncle over to the police, wondered if perhaps she should join him... some really amazing cinematography and visual parallels. Stars Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, and Nicole Kidman.

Speaking of!

Shadow of a Doubt (1943) -- Somewhat lesser-remembered Hitchcock film (though reportedly his favorite) in which a young woman discovers that her beloved uncle may have deadly secrets and begins to investigate. Creepy and fun.

I'll probably be back with more later.
