This had an amazing reaction at the show. I was so, so happy that people got what I was trying to do here (or, failing that, found it amusing). I could not have done it without the usual suspects of echan, diannelamerc (and brand-new usual suspect anoel).

You can blame this whole vid on my co-workers, who would incessantly play this song until it wormed its way into my head and I thought, you know... you could use this. You could use it to say something about maybe, like, a director or something... And this happened.

I was watching the vid and I thought it was all SRS BSNS and then CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW kept interrupting the SRS GANGSTA BSNS and that was funny. And then it just went completely down the crapper in a totally awesome way, because LO, it turned into WILLIAM DEFOE AND JESUS/FORREST GUMP and TAXI DRIVER and WTF IS THIS EVEN OMG.

I just about died laughing. Great fusion and a great way to sort of (gently) take the piss out of Scorcese. Sometimes he needs it . . .

I was more taking the piss out of film fans who keep expecting directors to do the same goddamn thing over and over again. Like me. When I heard that Scorsese was making a children's film in 3D I was like, "What? This is terrible." Then I saw it and it was AMAZING. And I realized how foolish I was. So I made a vid about it.

So yes, I fucking did that!

Also, I love when you comment on my vids. It's like the all-caps sun is shining on my ego!
