Nothing going on with my family right now. I miss them, but it's not like I couldn't hop on a plane on a whim.
Familial moments like that have always touched me, which is weird. I had a good enough childhood -- I mean, I have issues with my dad, but they sprouted up when I became an adult more or less. Family, conceptually, has never been super important to me either. I have close relationships with my mother and sister because I genuinely think they are awesome human beings whom I enjoy spending time with.
