"New Doctor Who still has to impress me. The Weeping Angels two-parter was quite good, but my problem remains that Matt Smith still feels like a little boy playing dress-up. I think a lot of it has to do with his slight case of mush-mouth. Somebody suggested that he's playing more with the Classic Who mold of acting, so I may go back and watch some older serials to get back into that headspace."
Couldn't agree more. I gave up because every time it came to turn off the clown and become the fearsome doctor that terrified the universe, something Nine & Ten did so well, he comes across as a spoilt child having a tantrum at mummy.
Writing was fine, and the gal playing Pond was better than I thought she'd be, but just no.
