Spent much of last night wrestling with MythTV, trying to get it to work on my Ubuntu box in anticipation of the arrival of my new 37" LCD HDTV. Had two major, 2-hour delays in the project, both caused by me being an idiot and overlooking something very simple, but it's working now (mostly).

Step 1 in the Nate's Ultimate Home Media Network is complete. Steps 2-47 are yet to come (and may have to wait until after Con so I don't waste all my spending monies).

Apropos of nothing, if you ever have to choose a crappy Internet service, choose MSN. Canceling with them took five minutes. Canceling with AOL took 15 and two freaking sales pitches. How I ended up with both services is a long-ass story.
