More HD-DVD/Blu-ray Goodness
Aug. 20th, 2007 06:04 pmParamount, a studio that had previously supported both formats, has decided to go HD-DVD exclusive. This deal includes all films from Paramount, Paramount Vantage, MTV Films, Nickelodeon Films, Dreamworks, and Dreamworks Animation. Now there are two major studios exclusive to the format (Paramount and Universal, with Warner still going either way and apparently making money hand-over-fist doing so). Full news story here. Note that the exclusivity does not apply to Indiana Jones or any other Spielberg-directed property.

I'm not banging my head, however. I've decided to buy both formats eventually, given that I am impatient and whichever format I invest in first will be the losing format, given my luck.
