In other news, had my first L3 practice last night. I'm still so very overwhelmed by it all, and I'm making some rookie mistakes because of it. I'm glad they're not putting me on stage immediately, because I still need to get acclimated.

Ah, idiots.

Comic book writer and sci-fi novelist Peter David has truly hit the big time. There's an idiot pissant trying to take him down a peg for the crime of being an unabashed liberal. It's a shame the guy lacks the brainpower to make a statement other than "Peter David is a liar!" Anyway, this fella, who goes by the nom de moron of X-ray, has promised to be the "political watchdog" of Peter's blog.

Anne Bancroft dead at 73.

One of the formative performances of my cinema obsession was Bancroft in The Graduate, still one of my favorite films ever. Manipulative but brittle, she really made the movie more than a movie - it was an icon.

A brilliant actress. She will be missed.
