The Fic Update
Mar. 30th, 2004 09:59 amAnd now all of you who are interested in my literary aspirations, both vaguely illicit and otherwise, can be well informed. Bravo to you.
The Novel: Er, yes. Have had some difficulty on this one. I'm approaching the Big Reveal where a lot of different plot elements come together, and it's frankly scared the shit out of me. I'm committed to finishing the thing by NaNoWriMo this year - and I only have about 27,000 words to go, so yay me.
The Pre-Apocalyptic Fic: It's the end of the world as we know it, the skies have permanently clouded over, there's mayhem in the streets, and two unlikely people share their bodies and maybe something else before it all ends. Started out as non-fanny and became decidedly set in a certain 'verse we know and love.
The Buffy vs. Santa Fic: Not everybody knows I'm working on this in what little spare time I have. Suffice to say, we have a setting (between Life Serial and All the Way, which puts it before Halloween 2001, but hey). This has been the elephant on my ficlist for a while, and after I get the Pre-Apocalypse thing done, I'll get to work on this. Otherwise,
cyperian might kill me.
More Evil!Jossfic: Possibly in the offing - I'm far too fond of my dear Dungeonmaster Whedon to let him off the hook before the Angel finale.
Andrew/Parkerfic: Shelved for the moment due to high-larious exchange I had with
airawyn which mostly covered the need.
Further Novels: I've had a few ideas for my next NaNoWriMo, including a sequel to my current novel, a few wacky office ideas, and a collection of vignettes based around a central character who may or may not be the reincarnated spirit of Dwight Frye.
ETA: By the way, Jen left this morning on an earlier flight home so she could get her ticker looked at. I didn't mention it initially because I'm trying to distract myself from the fact that I won't have her to come home to tonight, but then I realized ya'll probably want to know. She got home just fine, too. So, yay Jen.
