BRILLIANT! What a phenomenal film. Finally, somebody gets past Rowling's occasionally bloated plotting and overworn sense of self-cleverness to the heart of the story. Fantastic. Mike Newell, you may continue to direct further entries in the series as you see fit. *bows*

Also, David Tennant was freakin' awesome.

For some reason, this makes me think I'm absolutely going to hate this film.... le sigh.

And Mike Newell has already declined doing any more of the films. Given the director turnover rate, those kids must be awfully damn hard to work with or something. Or Rowling is. Something.

Really? I thought he was pretty good, at least the little bit we saw. Mileage varies, I guess....
