Notes:
sweetestdrain made a Prisoner vid for Club Vivid last year and it was... I can't even tell you how much I loved it. I resolved right then and there to make her a Festivid and I really, really hoped she was requesting the Wolf Man series again, because I had 22 years of emotions about Larry Talbot that I wanted to share.
She did! I squeed! And then I ran into a song problem. Like, I didn't have one. I started this vid twice with two different songs and they were both wrong. It was starting to look like I would fail my resolution.
And then I was watching the Youtube video of An Evening of Awesome, which is a show that John and Hank Green put on at Carnegie Hall, with music by The Mountain Goats. As I watched, I remembered there was this one desperate-sounding MG song that I'd always wanted to vid but never had a source for. Oh hello, two. Did you just come from one and one?
The only problem was that I came to this realization on the Wednesday before GoLive. Certainly not enough time to actually make the vid, right? Maybe enough time for *a* vid, but not the ultimate expression of decades of feelings and thoughts and flail. Then the first 30 seconds went down on the timeline in an hour and it was sealed. This vid was happening. I had a draft in slightly over 24 hours and, after some wonderful beta work from
thirdblindmouse , I turned in the finished product the night before GoLive.
The signed version differs slightly from the Festivids version, because there were some issues that I just didn't have time to fiddle with eternally or that came up in correcting other issues. They're mostly matters of adjustments by a frame or three and don't really alter the content of the vid.
