Weekend of Awesome
Went to LA this weekend. As per usual, it completely rocked.

diannelamerc picks me up from the airport and we meet lizbetann at BJ's for dinner. Despite previous strongly-worded statements to the effect of "I'm never drinking again", I had a delicious berry cider.
Back at their place, Dee and Lizbet presented me with my belated birthday present -- the Doctor's Fob Watch from Human Nature. Completely awesome, especially since I like to take out my usual fob watch (which the chain has fallen off of) and pretend that it's that watch in my dorkier moments. The only thing about this awesome watch (which really tells time!) is that when you press the side button, it makes sound effects and David Tennant (as John Smith) describes his dreams. Every time. With no variation. I'm thinking about yanking the button so that (cue joke made many times that weekend) David Tennant doesn't go off in my pants at inopportune times.
I showed 'em the work-in-progress on my Donna Noble vid, which they applauded. This made me quite happy, because they are completely awesome vidders. Then we watched the last three episodes of Coupling Season 4 (shakes fist atlizbetann for poor storage decisions -- see if I lend you anything again, lady).
Saturday:airawyn came over for a day of chillaxing. We watched the rough cut of her Tenth Doctor vid (which is awesome and I cannot wait to see the finished product), then alternated various episodes of things (Titus, How I Met Your Mother, the pilot for Being Human) with fanvids (I introduced the gang to the awesomeness of shannonsequitur's Martha Jones and Four/Romana vids). Then we watched the new Who with midnightfae chiming in via IM. Ended out with two eps each of Spaced (after which airawyn had to go home) and Red Dwarf).
Sunday: DISNEYLAND! Withdiannelamerc, airawyn, and faithfully_luna! I'd never been before! Pictures to come! I'm still kind of babbling, but it was completely completely completely awesome. The lines were relatively short and the rides were worth the waiting times. My favorite by far was the Haunted Mansion (big surprise), but was also caught Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Tours, the Buzz Lightyear ride, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Alice in Wonderland (which nearly took my head off more than once), Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, the Jungle Boat tour, and probably more stuff that I'm forgetting. I took a ton of pictures, most of them in Toontown (because it was awesome). I bought midnightfae a Goofy hat. Then my energy completely died (as did everyone else's) and we dragged ourselves back to the car. We dropped off faithfully_luna at home and then I went to the airport to head home.
Man, I needed that. I feel like my system is completely reset and I'm able to handle life again.
