Torchwood article

Classic-Horror's Torchwood article is up. Torchwood: Aliens, Monsters, and Sex Coming to BBC America by Emily Langton. Significant section on a hypothetical meeting of Jack Harkness and Mal Reynolds at the end that may be of interest to Whedon-oriented fans.

My review of Rob Zombie's unfortunate re-imagining of Halloween has been posted.

"It would be best to consider writer-director Rob Zombie's remake of John Carpenter's Halloween as a separate entity from its progenitor, allowing Zombie's film the space to create its own identity in the annals of horror. Unfortunately, Zombie can't appear to let go of the original, filling his film with references, duplicated shots and sequences, even as he tries to forge his own version of the tale."

The review breaks down the film section-by-section, something I'm usually loathe to do, but felt appropriate in this case.

Keep an eye out as we'll have a "Torchwood" article by Emily Langton up in the next day or so.

"What's that smell?" "That would be grass." "It's disgusting."

Roomie and I are halfway through Torchwood Season 1, and my favorite character by far is Owen. By very, very far.

Does that make me a bad person?

A Long Time Ago, There Used to Be Shows, But I Haven't Thought of Them Lately At All

I am so very behind on my shows...

Heroes - haven't seen an episode since 1x03
Veronica Mars - haven't seen an episode since 3x04
Torchwood - caught the first ep

Wow, I have a lot of catching up to do. This on top of knocking 12,500 words out in the next 4-5 days (you know, before my extremely pregnant sister pops out my niece).

Two Torchwood Icons -- Not Spoilery

But I'll put 'em behind a cut tag anyway. Both Cap'n Jack Harkness, both from the teaser trailers on BBC3.

Ladies, your ratings just went up. )
