That's not bizarre. Bizarre is calling a big hulk of a man "hun." Which I do all the time, so it can't possibly be out of the ordinary. :-)

I call everyone "hon," "sweetie," "muffin," "luv/love," "dude," "man," "sir," or "missy" as appropriate. I've taken to calling my boyfriend "monkey," though, which I think he finds scary.
