Opinion needed, re: Mass Effect 3 add-ons

Just got a $20 credit from the Playstation 3 store. Yay! I'm going to use it to buy some Mass Effect 3 DLC, but I need opinions on which to purchase.

My options are as follows:
  • The Citadel DLC
  • Omega DLC
  • From Ashes & Leviathan DLC together
Thoughts?

Oh, also I am through the Geth/Quarian missions now. It feels like I'm very close to the end, so I wouldn't mind some additional buttkicking before the experience is over (mind you, I will probably just start the whole trilogy over with a male Shepard, even though the game's story is far far far more interesting with a female hero).

If you're already past the Quarian/Geth missions, I'd say the Citadel DLC. From Ashes is good, but the best part of it is that it adds on a squadmate that gives a really new perspective on things... but you're already over half way through the game. Citadel has probably the most fun mission in all the DLC, plus a whole bunch of great character moments after that. Omega has a good story, but is mostly just 'run around on Omega, shoot things' in terms of gameplay.

I actually really like the Leviathan DLC, for the holes that it patches in the mythos of the series, but I also know some folks dislike it for the exact same reason.

My recommendation would be... Citadel and From Ashes, for certain. The other two... maybe?

Omega and Leviathan are fairly mediocre. From Ashes adds a new character, which opens a whole range of unique situations and variables. The Citadel DLC is Whedon-style action/comedy and witty banter, with lots of crew relationship stuff. It's very very different from the overall feel of ME3, which I thought was a great change of pace (and just extremely funny.) It's really a really nice break, especially late in the game.

Haha. Funny enough, I got impatient and went ahead and bought From Ashes and The Citadel. Looks like I made the right call!

Yes indeed! Hope you enjoy.

- i really liked having from ashes for the beginning because of reasons. (dunno what you spoiler tolerance is here) if you're ever going to get it, get it sooner. I am really glad it was part of my experience.

- leviathan was... fine? not amazing. adds to the overall story. play whenever

- omega was a fairly fun stand alone that is not sure much about the story, but it was fun. play whenever

- CITADEL WAS AMAZING AND EVERYONE SHOULD PLAY IT HAVE A COMPLETE ME3 EXPERIENCE. *ahem* is kind of for the end of the game... i think maybe you have to be a certain amount through the game to play it? but play it, play it, play it.

Re: From Ashes, getting it sooner is not really an option. I have three Priority missions left in the main storyline.

I did buy Citadel and I'll probably be doing that next.

i meant consider get it now instead of thinking "maybe i'll get it after i finish me3", if you were considering that. :)
