Joy from Iowa

I know, it seems impossible, but good things do come from Iowa. I mean, I'm from Iowa. Cute!Barista is from Iowa. Elijah Wood? Born in Iowa. Kate Mulgrew is an Iowan. The three boxes of joy that came in yesterday? Shipped from Iowa.

I've had a bunch of stuff sitting in Dad's basement since I moved to Iowa, and now that I have a bigger place, I asked him to ship it down for me. Yesterday, it came in - videos, a few DVDs, TONS of books. Also, two savings bonds in the amount of $50 dollars each from 1992 and 1993, which I didn't know I had. Birth certificates, growth charts from my youth (it's funny; there's the "upper percentile of growth" and then there's a little dot above that to indicate where I am).

I managed to cram everything into my bookshelves and whatnot, but I fear that if I buy anything else ever again, I won't have anywhere to put it. So I'm looking into more shelving solutions today, in addition to shopping for pants, and swinging by Bookman's to sell some of the books I don't want (Dad sent me a bunch of stuff from my childhood. While cute... not exactly stuff I need now).

Pants!

Pants is a great word. But I bet shopping for 24 waist, 88 inseam pants is not fun. My numbers are close together.

32 waist 36 inseam. I ended up getting some 32x34s that seemed to fit okay.
