Notes: I knew going into Festivids that [personal profile] thirdblindmouse was going to get a Hazards of Helen vid from me. I make her a vid every year (except last year). I also knew that she would immediately guess that I'd made said Helen vid. So, I decided to use this to my advantage, using the Helen vid to draw her attention away from a *second* vid. This one.

It's not exactly what she asked for, but I needed to come up with a concept that I could clip quickly with a limited number of episodes. Foeyay seemed the best way to go, so I whipped up this Murdoc vid (after a few false song starts). It is... much more ridiculous than I'd anticipated when I started.

Also, obviously, this owes a debt to the marvelous Doctor Who vid to the same song by [personal profile] such_heights  and [personal profile] purplefringe. I honestly tried to find a different song for a long time (options included Britney Spears and Nat "King" Cole), because I didn't want to step on their toes. However, ultimately this was the only song that really worked for what I wanted to do. I hope they don't mind.

You cunning fiend, it worked beautifully! Meaning both your misdirection plot and the vid. It makes me cackle more with each rewatch, because apparently you have figured out that escalating ridiculousness is exactly my sense of humor. Nothing says "be mine, Mac" like rocket launchers. :,)

As I mentioned on the Festivids post: I do not recall whether I regularly watched MacGyver when it was being broadcast, but your vid inspired me to start (re-?)watching it, and it is a lot of fun! Thank you!

I also want to mention: gosh, at least in the 6 or so episodes I've watched so far, Angus MacGyver is pretty respectful of women, and great at coaching people who need a change of perspective. Surprisingly easy to watch for an 80s action hero!

For some reason I couldn't get the streaming site to work during the anon period, but this vid was totally worth the wait. I laughed out loud at the shoulder-mounted RPG launcher. Awesome. :D

I already commented on their respective festivids posts, but I just wanted to let you know that both this and Sound the Bells were among my festivids highlights this year and I'm downloading them for rewatching. :D
