The Movie Meme thing

From heresluck and a bunch of others:  Everyone should post their ten most CRUCIAL CRUCIAL CRUCIAL-ASS movies, like the movies that explain everything about yourselves in your current incarnations (not necessarily your ten favorite movies but the ten movies that you, as a person existing currently, feel would help people get to know you).

Bringing Up Baby (1938)
The Third Man (1949)
Singin' in the Rain (1952)
Psycho (1960)
Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964)
Harold and Maude (1973)
Lisa and the Devil (1973)
Re-Animator (1985)
Josie and the Pussycats (2001)

I am not sure how I feel about this list, honestly... They are the films that feel like they answer the call of the meme best, but how do they really come together to explain me?

I am not remotely surprised at the date range of this list. I understand you perfectly up to 1960 and not at all after that.

What was your take on what the meme was calling for? I listed explanations for mine because I was so uncertain about what the meme meant.

I don't know. I just sort of let each film I considered swirl around in my head and if it felt "right" then I put it on the list. However, there were some films that I feel strongly about that didn't pass the head-swirl test, like Psycho and The Third Man. (Psycho and North by Northwest has a knock-down drag-out fight, but Psycho won).

The only films that were absolutely unquestionably on the list were Josie and the Pussycats and Bringing Up Baby. Everything else had alternates I could've just as easily gone with, unless I couldn't have.

I don't know.
